Five kids die in anganwadi center wall collapse
Following a heavy rainfall, a wall of an anganwadi center in Odisha caved in, resulting in the death of five kids besides injuring dozens others, including the center cook and helper.
FIVE KIDS including two girls were killed and nine others got injured when the wall of an anganwadi center collapsed in Nayagarah district in Odisha State.
The deceased children were in the age group of three to five years, police sources said. The wall caved in following heavy rainfall from past two days. The Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik announced Rs.100000/-(Rupees One Lakh) as exgratia each to the family of the victims besides free treatment for the injured students. The government has, meanwhile suspended anganwadi worker and the headmistress of the school.

Sadly, we always act after such an incident. But never take precautionary measures. Its a simple human negligence that made some parents lose their beloved kids.

Suspending poor workers and headmistress for a wall caving in sounds ridiculous. Why can't there be an even stricter action against the contractor who build the wall or the person who supplied the cement bags?
