"TO ENTER the public life, one must adhere to the political principles of the Bharat Ratan, late Gulzari Lal Nanda, to keep the society and country above petty personal interests", advised Lt General Dr DDS Sandhu, vice chancellor of Kurukshetra University while talking to the media after paying floral tribute to the great Gandhian Nanda at the Samadhi Sthal near the Brahamsarovar on his death anniversary here.

Dr Sandhu also announced that henceforth, the Nanda Museum would remain open on all Sundays and holidays and shall remain closed on Monday as per universal museum calendar.
Besides, Dr Sandhu, Kurukshetra ADC Ms. Sumedha Kataria, CEO of Kurukshetra Development Board Ashok Bansal, KU Registrar Dr Surinder Deswal and dozens of senior citizens also paid homage to late Nanda who did herculean task for the upliftment of Kurukshetra city as the founder chairman of Kurukshetra Development Board, and made Kurukshetra a pilgrimage centre at the international level after renovation of the Brahamsarovar, Sannihit sarovar and Jyotisar Teeratha. He set up many indigenous industries on Gandhian pattern for employment of rural youths.
