There are a few spices that actually help you in summers. While you should avoid  spices like red chili, clove, ginger because they heat up your body and have natural thermogenesis effect on the body, you should not avoid cardamom, turmeric, and cinnamon. They have warming effect and help body in summer to sweat and cooling off.

Ice cream is a very popular treat in summers but it has to be avoided as well. Contains access calories and sugar which increase the blood sugar in body and hinder body to burn properly.

Roasted foods is another thing that should go away from your plate this summer. Their consumption generate a lot of body heat and can cause gastric problem during summers.

Mangoes do sound ideal during summer but eating too many can develop heat pimples especially for teenagers and children. But if mangoes is one of your favourite fruit, enjoy mangoes with milk and curd to balance its warming properties.

Tea and coffee consumption should also be bought to minimum during summers as both create heat in body. Caffeine and other beverages also have chance of dehydrating the body.
