Blue Chip brand Apple has said that October 12 is the date when it will launch its new iCloud service. This service will enable instant updation of content from the iPhone including pictures, document and text messages.
THE NEW iCloud service, which, at first, will only be available in the US, will allow iOS users to bank content such as music in data storing centers connected by the web - in other words 'the cloud', which in itself has taken the IT and computing world by storm - and has brought about a near paradigm shift in online outsourcing and online service delivery. Only mobile devices having iOS5 and Mac computers having OS X Lion will be able to access iCloud - though it can also be synchronized with Outlook on Windows stations. Through the service a user will be able to access and update all data on a maximum of 10 Apple devices including IPod Touch, iPad, Mac, and iPhone, reported CNN.

To use the iCloud service a user will have to sign in with an Apple id to get 5 gigabytes of data free. To have 15 gigabytes of data one will have to pay $20 and dish out a $100 for 55 gigabytes. Those who like music will be able to store music remotely once the new iTunes service becomes available by the end of October. This will enable users to access their entire iTunes collection via the cloud for $25 a year, which means that you only need to buy a song once then via iCloud and iTunes listen to it on any of the Apple devices.
An analyst said that iCloud will be a game changer as the service allows gamers to leave a game they are playing, save it, and then come back to it again after backing it up through iCloud.
