Celebrity power list released on Tuesday by Forbes for year 2010 has some new entrants in the top category. Strangely it is not men celebrity but women dominated the list with three out of five top spot.
As per Forbes estimates celebrity earnings remain remarkably resilient, with this year's stars having earned a collective $4.7 billion during the past year, up from $4.1 billion in 2009.
Famous talk show celebrity Oprah Winfrey made a comeback at top position pushing 2009 topper Angelina Jolie to 18th position. Winfrey earned $315 million to regain the spot. Singing sensation Lady Gaga, popular for her unique dress code, made her entry in the Forbes celebrity power list 2010.
Lady Gaga made to the Celebrity power list for the first time, taking fourth place with estimated earnings of $62 million.
Beyonce, Grammy winning R&B singer, claimed second spot with an estimated $87 million earning from tour and album sales.
Forbes measure the ranking based on entertainment-related earnings over the past 12 months as well as exposure in print, television, radio, online, and social media.
Surprise entry in the category from nowhere is ‘Avatar’ director James Cameron. He entered the celebrity power list for the first time landing at No. 3. His movie earned $ 2.7 billion worldwide and hit headiness.
Tiger is still ruling the charts of celebrity power, even after scandalous year, with No. 5 spot. He managed to earn estimated $105 million last year.
Other toppers in the list as Britney Spears with $ 64million earning, U2 with $130earning, Sandra Bullock$56 million, Johnny Depp with $75 million and Madonna with $58 million earning.
