Forbes names Tom Cruise as highest paid Hollywood actor

At a crucial time Forbes magazine came out with its list of highest paid actors in Hollywood. And guess who topped the list?

AFTER BEING 'saddened' with divorce from Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise has some reason to smile as he has been named Hollywood's highest paid actor by the Forbes Magazine. The actor, who is much in the public view for his wife, beliefs and his divorce, is finally getting some limelight and publicity for being an actor. Cruise made 75 million dollars from May 2011 to May 2012.

Katie Holmes' lawyers must be listening hard as Holmes is not asking from the actor any heavy amount, except for child care of her only daughter. After being declared the highest paid actor by Forbes, will the scenario change, that remains to be seen. After Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol came, a revival of sorts happened for the actor as he earned 700 million dollars at the box office, according to DNA.

A reputed member of Scientology, Tom Cruise, who turned 50 this year beat Leonardo Di Caprio to top the list. Di Caprio who topped the list last year came second this time with Adam Sandler earning 37 million dollar for a year. The other actors to make to the list were Ben Stiller, Johnny Depp, Will Smith and Taylor Lautner.

While Robert Pattinson might be a favourite among the girls but he is definitely not making enough moolah like his love rival Taylor Lautner. He earned eleventh position in the list while Lautner grabbed the coveted tenth one.
