Forbes: Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar among world's highest-paid celebs of 2016
The 'King' of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan and 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar have made it to 'Forbes 100 Highest-Paid Celebrities of 2016'. However, the annual list of Forbes has been topped by American singer, Taylor Swift with an earning of $170 million.

While SRK (with earnings of $33 million) shared 86th spot with Ghostbusters actress Melissa McCarthy, Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr, basketballer James Harden and the Dave Matthews Band; Akshay (who made $31.5 million) acquired 94th spot with Brad Pitt and magician team Penn & Teller.

The 50-year-old Shah Rukh Khan, who charges a hefty amount for each of his films, also make earnings from high-value brand endorsement deals. Forbes stated that Dilwale star, SRK "continued to rule Bollywood's box office" with lead roles in striking films along with earning multi-million dollars from upfront fees and a cut of the back end for his efforts.

The 48-year-old Akshay's rank declined this year from 76th in 2015. Forbes stated that he was one of Bollywood's most occupied leading hero. "The action star bolsters his earnings endorsing a wider range of products than most Hollywood shills including motorcycles and gold loan company."

With earnings of $110 million, English-Irish boy band 'One Direction' grabbed second spot on the list. Followed by Real Madrid footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (4), basketball player LeBron James (11) and musician Madonna (12), the Forbes list also include author James Patterson on the third spot.

Every year, Forbes analyzes actors/entertainers across the entertainment world, stars from Hollywood to Bollywood, alongside Swedish soccer stars and American basketball players to pick the Celebrity 100. Notably, there are only 15 women on the entire list including British singer Adele (9) with $80.5 million earnings.

While Chinese actor Jackie Chan stands at 21st spot with $61 million earnings, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen stood at 99th on the list. Moreover, Hollywood comedian Kevin Hart stands on 6th, actor Dwayne Johnson on the 19th, reality TV show star Kim Kardashian on the 43rd and Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence on the 50th spot.
