Forbidden selfie to worst dressed celebrity: What Aishwarya Rai did wrong in Cannes Film festival 2015
We are all proud of Aishwarya Rai for achieving so much- Miss World crown, successful film career, marrying the correct man and balancing work and career, etc. While most of these achievements have been mirrored by many others, there is one thing that no one can take away from her- She was the first Indian actress to walk the red carpet of Cannes. While it is not like walking the moon, but even the skeptics would agree it was a huge prestige. This year, however the diva did a lot of things, which raised quite a few eyebrows in the international media.

We as Indians do not like to see anything wrong with us (human tendency, you see) but the Indian beauty did take a number of mis-step this time in the Cannes film festival.

As we all know that the festival is becoming more of a fashion parade then a place to view good and acclaimed cinema from around the world. And to participate in such an event, one at all times needs to be in a tip-top shape, especially if you are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. So when she stepped out in two back to back gowns, which did not do her credit, she was written about, but not praised.

Don't get me wrong, as any publicity is good publicity, but to be said as ''struggling with her oversized Ralph & Russo dress'' certainly doesn't bore well with anyone, much less than the most beautiful woman in the world. On Wednesday, the 41 year the old actress was seen strutting her stuff in a Ralph & Russo dress with matching heels.

From being called a big dress to being tagged one of the worst dresses of the Cannes film festival, I think Rai misjudged this one. One can gather some consolation as the actress was highly praised for her maroon Oscar de la Renta strapless gown in which she was dubbed by Vanity Fair as one of the best dressed actress on the red carpet.

This is the second gown, which was disapproved by the international media, as while representing L'Oreal as the brand ambassador she wore a emerald green Elie Saab gown on the red carpet of Palais Des Festivals, also failed miserably. She not only went wrong with the sheer gown, but also flouted the Cannes rules of not taking selfies.

While on the red carpet, the mother of one took a selfie with Eva Longoria (another L'Oreal spokesperson and an actress). This move was frowned upon as this is the first time that selfies have been banned on the red carpet of Cannes (and we thought we were the nations for famous bans). The selfie was posted on Twitter by the L'Oreal with the caption 'We became friends at Cannes. L'OreĢal Paris got us together!"

Hopefully, the actress can do away with these criticism and turn the game around on the red carpet.
