Ford debuted its Ford Start concept car at the Beijing Auto Show 2010. Promised as both stylish and efficient, the Ford Start concept car will have 1.0 litre, three cylinder EcoBoost engine and an attractive design.

FORD HAS come up with a chic concept car, Start, which debuted at the Beijing Auto Show 2010. Promised as both stylish and efficient, the Ford Start concept car will have 1.0 litre, three cylinder EcoBoost engine and an attractive design. It will also be a small car, with a body measuring 145 inches long and 66.5 inches wide.

The Ford Start concept car is specified as a two door, four seater vehicle, and appears to somewhat look like an earlier Ford model, Ford car. Its 145x66.5 inches dimensions come to be ten inches smaller that the upcoming Ford Feista, apart from being an inch narrower. It also features removable roof panels, LED lights and rear lights which light up in a sequence.

There's more promised - a five speed manual control, turbocharged direct injection engine, with a compression ratio of 10:1 and Co2 emissions lower than 100g/Km. Also, keeping with the green theme that is a rage with concept carts, its body panels come from recycled composites an interior panels have recycled fibres.

A unique feature is the amount of customisation that the design of the Ford Start allows. With the snap fittings, one can change the colour of the seat insets, access the MyFord Mobile concept system, a touch screen system which accesses the climate control system, engine diagnostics and warning readouts and other features. One can also plug in their smartphones and access phone features with voice commands.
