Foreign countries too are curious about the results of Delhi Assembly Elections
Foreign countries, political parties and media persons are eagerly waiting for the outcome of the Delhi Assembly Elections more curiously than results of any other state assemblies which also went into poll. Ambassadors of foreign countries in Delhi are also keeping a close eye on every development.

Main focus is on how much seats Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Admi Party is going to get. According to indications BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narender Modi's first rally in Delhi has galvanized the party. People who had liking for Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Adami Party had tilted towards BJP to ensure defeat of Congress.

Modi's rallies in the last leg of campaigning has strengthened this phenomena with Congress trailing behind. Modi's rallies had given oxygen to the party. While BJP has put all its stalwarts including Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari and Lal Krishan Adwani in the poll battle, Congress has left the fight only to be fought by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit after poor turn out at rallies addressed by Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.

Sheila Dikshit was assisted by pink brigade of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. There is nothing personal against Dikshit but Congress is facing ire of electorates for rising prices and series of scandals and scams which has shaken their faith in the Congress. To add to its worries Kejriwal's aggressive campaigning also damaged the party.

People have liking for Kejriwal and it can be judged from the fact that an illiterate barber at Munirka where this scribe had gone for hair cut commented that at least he speaks for the poor and common people. According to political analysts Kejriwal's party will register a significant  presence in Delhi.

Both Dikshit and BJP had launched attacks on Kejriwal's party. Modi without naming anybody, but in  an obvious reference to Kejriwal, said that people have seen image of Jaiparkash Naryan in Anna Hazare but some people had even betrayed him.

Joining Kejriwal bashing chorus, Susham Swaraj even stated that vote for Aam Admi Party will be vote for Congress. Under a well planned strategy to confuse voters, Dikshit had even declared that their party will not mind supporting Kejriwal if such situation arises. Even a sting operation was managed showing some Aam Admi Party candidates in negative light. It is interesting to mention here that edited and doctored CD of sting was immediately shown on a TV channel owned by Congress leader of Haryana whom Sheila Dikshit has obliged earlier.

Although it damaged AAP initially but ultimately it backfired. Kejriwal has alleged that corporate houses had given crores to tarnish their image and had even filed defamation case against Anuranjan Jha, the owner of the website Media Sarkar which had conducted the sting operation.

Even lakhs of pamphlets were distributed with morning newspapers making obvious reference to Gujarat Police's snooping of a girl. Although Aam Adami Party's volunteers were seen at almost every place but according to political observers it lacks organisational and booth level expert workers who could translate sympathy of people in votes. They were seen even in Lodhi garden carrying brooms where elite of Delhi walks in morning.

Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BSP supremo Mayawati also addressed rallies in support of their candidates. Congress focused on advertisements highlighting its development works while BJP and Kejriwal raised the issue of corruption and mismanagement. Kejriwal took both BJP and Congress to task and BJP and Congress virtually joined hands to check growing popularity of Kejriwal.

According to political observers number of seats which Kejriwal's party wins does not matter adding that his party has become a force to reckon with in Delhi. A resident of Dwarka told that earlier they have to purchase water from tanker mafia but now they have started getting regular supply, courtesy Kejriwal.

All eyes are set on the outcome of Delhi results. Congress' victory will boost the image of Sheila Dikshit. BJP which has started poorly with its president Vijay Goel but change of guard with Dr. Harsh Vardhan coming into picture with a clean image, has paid rich dividends to the party.
