Shockingly the Police had detained the protesting activists using force, but they continued with their demand of examination by the forensic experts of PGI, Rohtak expressing lack of faith in Civil Hospital Gurgaon.
Police has asked PGI experts whether it was a case of suicide or strangulation by someone else. Highly placed sources told that a team comprising of Dr. S.K. Dhatarwal, Head of Forensic Department of PGI Rohtak and Dr. Pankaj Chhikara and Dr. Kuldeep could not reached to any conclusion on this point as the Police is yet to provide the forensic report of the scene of the crime and ligating material to the PGI team. It is not known whether it was deliberately done to delay the investigations or for any other reason.
Deceased who was working and living with her employer for the last two years was found hanging at the house of her employer on last Wednesday morning. Despite the complaint by victim's family to Police alleging that she was raped and murdered, Police did not register the case. It was only after the protest the case was registered.
Registration of case that too in a serious case of alleged murder and rape of minor girl is mandatory but million dollar question is whether action will be taken against those responsible for not registering the case. According to the sources PGI Rohtak team was under tremendous pressure from top Police officers for diluting the report as it will cause great embarrassment to it.
Recently a youth had died in Police custody in Sohna in the district and Police had allegedly managed a report from the Doctors of Civil Hospital, Gurgaon which stated that the death was due to cardiac arrest.
Later it was forced to send the body to PGI Rohtak for examination after hundreds of people had blocked the highway raising slogans against the Police. Shockingly the findings by the PGI had virtually slapped the Gurgaon Police stating that the body had more than dozen serious injury marks reportedly caused by a blunt object.
However, the doctors of Civil Hospital in their report had stated that there was no injury mark on the body. In this case also a senior Gurgaon Police officer had allegedly tried to pressurize the PGI experts but they refused to come under pressure.
