SACHIN TENDULKAR became the first cricketer in the history of One-day games to cross the 17000 runs when he reached 7 against Australia in the fifth one-day match of the ongoing series. Not only the Little Master reached this great mark but he also played what can be said as one of the greatest innings ever in the history of this game.

To score the much awaited 7th run, Tendulkar pushed the ball from Ben Hilfenhaus to square leg and everyone in the crowd rose to give him a standing ovation.

Not only the 17000 runs, the master blaster also scored a masterly 175-run century and was instrumental in India almost chasing a mammoth 350 runs target set by the Aussies. Although, India lost by 3 runs but more than this loss, this match would be remembered for the heroics of Sachin, who is almost worshipped like a god in India.

Sachin Tendulkar made his one-day debut against Pakistan in 1989 at Gujranwala and since then the master has gone from strength to strength.
