Sourav Ganguly, one of the most followed up cricketer also praised the BCCI for making the Indian Premier League (IPL) a success.

He categorically chose Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star spinner Sunil Narine as "The Man" of the IPL. Just before the inaugural ceremony of IPL season 8, at the Salt Lake stadium here in Kolkata on Tuesday, Ganguly expressed his views and mentioned that the IPL has done "wonders" for Indian cricket.Although he has liking for few other teams as well but he has a special bonding for KKR as he was the skipper for KKR in 2008 and 2009.

Pointing out another vital development he said that the best thing about the IPL in the last two seasons was that the difference between the teams had not been much and that is why it had been more exciting.

"While Chennai have been consistent, we have the Royal Challengers Bangalore having Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Then there is the Maxwell-Miller-Sehwag factor for the Kings XI," said Ganguly as reported by business-standard.com.

It should be added that though Sunil Narain had a tough time recently owing to the issues regarding his bowling action and he had to miss out the World Cup, but it is a matter of great relief not only for his team but for the millions of his fans that the ICC and the BCCI have given a green signal to him.

Let us hope that we will be able to see some outstanding and record breaking performances from him. After all, Dada has imposed his faith in Sunil Narain which is not a small thing.
