Former president of Egypt Hosni Mubarak is in critical condition
Hosni Mubarak, former president of Egypt, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment for political crimes, is reported to be in bad shape.
WITH MUBARAK'S condition going from bad to worse, the rumours about his death have spread far and in Egypt. According to media reports, Mubark's life sentence saw him transferred immediately to a prison hospital from the military hospital leading to worsening of his condition.
The former first lady Suzanne Mubarak and her daughters-in-laws were given special permission to visit Cairo's Torah prison where Mubarak was being kept and undergoing treatment. However, they were not allowed to get into the Intensive Care Unit wherein he was being treated.
One may recall that Mubarak's two sons Alaa and Gamal are also being held in prison for charges of insider trading.
