The 86-year-old Nobel Peace Prize laureate Henry Kissinger arrived in Seoul earlier this week to attend a seminar. He served as the U.S. Secretary of State during the presidencies of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford from 1971 to 1977.
Officials at Yonsei Severance Hospital in western Seoul told that Kissinger's condition is now better and he is recovering. Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger also met South Korean President Lee Myung-bak on Friday. According to sources, Kissinger would be released on Sunday.
Henry Kissinger received a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts negotiating with North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. In 2002, then President George W. Bush appointed Kissinger to chair a committee to investigate the terrorist attacks of September 11 attacks.
