Four-day Rajasthan Festival to mark state's foundation day inaugurated in Jaipur
Rajasthan will be celebrating Rajasthan Day on the 30th of March with great pomp, show, zeal and enthusiasm. The four days (March 27-30) of fun, frolics, devotional singing, sports, films and festivities have begun.

On March 27, the Rajasthan Festival, hosted by Rajasthan State Tourism Department, has kicked off with lighting of Rajasthan Day Torch. The first day of the festival is marked with the final matches of rural sports along with cultural programmes at SMS stadium. Also, a cycle marathon by sports department is being organised at SMS stadium today.

According to Rajasthan Tourism, the celebrations will range 'from peaceful and soothing bhakti sangeet to adventure sports like hot-air ballooning, para-motoring. Fascinating children film festivals to renowned performers from Bollywood including Arijit Singh, Bhanwari Devi, Saleem and Suleman; every tradition, art or sport is celebrated here'.

"Do not forget to miss the amazing Light Show at Vidhan Sabha, Jaipur. However, the highlight of the four-day event remains the traditional and local Rajasthani culture in every nook and corner of this mesmerising region," they added.

The great thing about Rajasthan is that it is a peaceful state, which is culturally rich. Its colourful artistic, historical and folk traditions attract tourists from far and near. Rajasthani classical music, folk music and dances have its own distinct style and flavour.
