Four Naxals surrender in Odisha's Malkangiri district
Four naxal cadres working under Kudmulgumma Division Committee surrendered before Malkangiri Superintendent of Police Akhileswar Singh on Monday. Those surrendered have been identified as Tilsu Khill (31), Damru Khill (30) Kamlu Badnaik (28), and Muli Golari (22).

They all are residents of village Gajatmagudi village under Jodamba gram panchayat of Chitrakonda. The police said that they all were supplying food and also involved in several cases of crime in the Chitrokonda reservoir cut-off range, while adding, that Madhav and Chinti was active for past several years.

The surrendered Maoists said that after the death of hardcore Naxalite leader Madhav alias Golla Ramullu during a police encounter on last Friday and and the arrest of another Maoist cadre Chanti, who happened to be heading Militia members arrested, they made up their mind to surrender.

The Naxalites said that under pressure from the security personnel and a harsh forest life, the they decided to quit and join the mainstream. They were also frustrated with the violent and anti-people-activities like extortion and harassment of the tribals.
