It refers to East Delhi Municipal Corporation providing free CNG supply for cremation of dead bodies at two of the cremation grounds namely Jwala Nagar and Karkardooma coming under it.
Similar steps should be taken by other two Municipal Corporations of Delhi so that CNG may be supplied free-of-cost for all the cremation-grounds in Delhi.

There should be a uniform policy to supply free CNG for all the cremation grounds in the country. Cost of CNG for the purpose can be borne by civic bodies, state-governments or even government-owned Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL). Non-government-organisations managing Delhi’s biggest cremation-ground Nigambodh Ghat has offered free CNG-cremation if it gets free supply of CNG.
Cremation by CNG is environmental friendly conserving wood, and thus should be encouraged by all government agencies. Public-sector-organisations are authorised to spend a part of their budgets for social and charitable purposes. IGL can bear cost of free CNG-supply for cremation-purposes as part of its social obligation to the society, which will be a negligible fraction of its total CNG-sale.
