Free education centre inaugurated in Kirawali in Agra district
As part of the initiative by Union Ministry of Rural Development's Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana, the Gurgaon-based IT and business consulting firm IAP Company Pvt. Ltd. opened a free education centre in Kirawali area in Uttar Pradesh's Agra district. The education centre will provide free education and training in computers, sales, marketing, retail, and English speaking to local boys and girls so that they can get jobs and add to their individual and family income.
THE FREE education camp, which was inaugurated by Gram Pradhan Ranvir Singh on September 5, will greatly help young men and women coming from families falling below the poverty line in attaining a livelihood and advance in life. Those who have joined the camp will be given training for 90 days or three months.
With more than 120 people already part of this free education centre, locals falling in the age group of 18-35 can look forward to make use of this opportunity and improve their chances of being employed, course co-ordinator Satyendra Kumar Tiwari told this citizen journalist
. Two local teachers will also be teaching at the education centre.
IAP already operates these free education centres under the Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana in Haryana (Hisar), Uttar Pradesh (Ferozabad and Agra), Madhya Pradesh (Sagar, Satna, Jabalpur, Indore, Dhar, and Gwalior), and Rajasthan (Jaipur and Dhausa). While there are 12 free education centres in all, IAP also tries to place those who complete their training in these cities including Gurgaon and Lucknow.
