Freedom of Speech is a misused constitutional right
Activists like Arundhati Roy should remember that it is only India where they can pass such comments and get away with it so easily. Try it in any other country and you will have it!
IS THIS what the constitution has bestowed on us in the shape of Freedom of Speech? So that, one can say anything about their own country, in their own country, on a public platform and everyone including the government watches as a mute spectator? What a shame!

Arundhati Roy, the famous activist, a few days ago was  sympathising with the Kashmiri separatists and even accused India of becoming a colonial power.

It’s only in India where a person like her can say anything and get away easily because she, like every citizen, enjoys freedom of speech. Arundhati Roy should never forget this fact that had this been any other nation serious action would have already be taken against her and this is only India where the government is still thinking whether any legal action should be taken as here every citizen has equal rights.

The matter of the fact is that Kashmir is an integral part of India and will remain so. Where was she and other activists when thousands of Kashmiri Pundits were living as refugees and most of them are still in the same condition in their own country.

No one would leave their homeland until and unless they are forced to do so and this is what happened with Kashmiri pundits.

Talking about the rights of just one section of people is not justified. Jammu and Kashmir belongs to many different sections of people; there are people from Ladakh as well. And they are all happy and want to be a part of this beautiful nation.

Many reports reveal that these young protestors (who want freedom from India) get paid for stone pelting and maintaining consistent unrest in the region.

No one comes forward for the brave jawans, who have lost their lives in Kashmir fighting with militants. Government of India should take some stern action against those making mindless comments; freedom of speech does not mean that one can abuse their own country on a public platform.

Make it very clear that Kashmir is an integral part of India and will remain and our Intelligence and security forces are doing very good job across the country. Also, national media should not give too much attention to Arundhati Roy and her  publicity gimmicks.
