INDIAN FILM star Freida Pinto, who shot to fame with "Slumdog Millionaire" turned 26 on this Monday (October 18) and celebrated her birthday while promoting her new movie "Miral" in London.
Freida had also invited her parents to London for the screening of her new film and gave her company during the birthday celebrations.
"The special thing was that I had this amazing film to promote Monday. I'm so glad it was something that I enjoyed doing and not something that I was forced to do. I spent the entire day doing that. I flew my family down to London so they could share this experience with me. It was really the most low-key but amazing birthday," she was quoted as saying.According to Freida, her parents had done every thing for her and it was because of them she was here doing this film which explores this beautiful father-daughter relationship.
Freida Pinto's tryst with television started when she modelled for various advertisement companies before she auditioned for Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire. She learnt acting at Barry John's acting studio in Mumbai. Some of her other films include ace director Woody Allen's upcoming release, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger. The film has a huge star cast with the who's who of Hollywood which also includes Antonio Banderas and Anupam Kher.
