Frightened people fear for lives after Colorado shooting spree
While the Colorado incident that saw a deranged masked man walking into a theater and firing at people indiscriminately, angered the authorities but that doesn't seem enough as people are asking many questions about the security lapses - the biggest being the online buying of thousands of bullets.

THE COLORADO incident that killed 12 people and wounded 58 others has left a lot of unanswered questions and a lifelong grief. The American gun law is being questioned and criticized.

The 24-year-old man, James Holmes, who single handedly gunned down all these people seems to have been making preparations for the D-day for as long as 4 months. He had bought 6000 rounds of ammunition and four guns to cause carry out this massacre and nothing about his haul raised any security concerns among the authorities.

While the entire city is mourning the deaths of innocent lives, the apartment which was reportedly booby trapped by explosives by Holmes was broken into by a bomb squad without much complications and the Chief of Police of Aurora, Dan Oates, according to AFP, said on the occasion, “Make no mistake. This apartment was designed, I say, seeing on what I have seen, to kill whoever entered it. And if you think we are angry, we sure as hell are angry.”

The citizens of Aurora, Colorado however have other concerns as well - what if some other deranged people are moving about freely buying guns?! They also want to know what led a man barely out of his teens commit such a heinous crime and as the relatives of the murdered people are trying to just make through life others are looking for answers. Rhonda Booker a inhabitant of Aurora said, “I hurt. I hurt for the loss, I hurt for the survivors, I hurt for the city of Aurora, I hurt for Colorado.”

After 13 years of the Columbine School massacre, this is the second most heinous shooting spree in Colorado. The people who are physically hurt are trying to recover from the injuries and people who are safe and were not a part of the disaster directly pray for the deceased as well as for their safe living.
