From 'fat Cavill' to Superman: Inspiring journey of 'Man of Steel'
For all those of you who are called unkind names just because you are fat, take a page from Henry Cavill (Superman of Man of Steel movie released recently). If anyone can turn their life around in spite of being called 'fat Cavill' almost all their life, then surely it is not impossible, and even you can do it.

Henry Cavill was called the name before he auditioned and landed his first major role in 2002 for The Count of Monte Cristo, when he was inspired and lost one and a half stone, and he was no longer the 'fat' Cavill, reported

However, for the current movie, Man of Steel, where he plays the protagonist he had to be buffed up, sinewy and muscular for which he did a lot of workouts and gives full credit to his trainer Mark Twight. He said that he ate 5,000 calories a day and worked out for two-and-a-half-hours a day to get into Superman shape.

In a video that is trending on YouTube, the actor is seen working out and doing various exercises. The training regimen adopted by him has now been adopted by the National Guard in America. Laying heaps of well deserved praises on Twight, Cavill said, “Mark Twight is probably one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. He’s opened my eyes to seeing past what I thought were my limits. He’s a remarkable man, truly,” reported

He added, “He understands what I’m going through physically. He understands me because he sees what I’m going through as a person, which I think is what makes him such a good trainer.”

Twight compared soldiers and these actors and said, “There is a strong connection between the process that a soldier will go through and the process that Henry went through to become the character of Superman. He got this great power that he develops with that goes is responsibility and a genuine code of ethics or values that guides how he behaves and allows him to make choices for the greater good. It is the process of self discovery and it is a process that a soldier would go through to learn whether he or she has what it takes and that is one of the reasons why a lot of people have joined the military.”
