Gadhakari chosen as new BJP party president
The appointment of Gadkari is the directly interference of the RSS in the political party. Indicating that his successor would be chosen by consensus, Singh said that a change of guard in BJP always took place 'unanimously'.
NOW IT is clear that, Nitin Gadkari is next BJP President. The appointment of Gadkari, seems to a last survival effort by the Bhartiya Janata Party to save itself. Rajnath Singh, who saw a lot of political losses for the party in his tenure as party president, seems to be trying to be a martyr by attempting to show that he is sacrificing the seat in favour of his successor, as early as possible ‘in the interest of the party”. Advani, in keeping with the road map drawn in consultation with the RSS, has been asked to hang around as the opposition leader, till a new team of office-bearers is put in place.
