GAO unveils G.722.2 vocoder

GAO RESEARCH Inc has released a new version of the G.722.2 (AMR-WB) vocoder, which has been upgraded for better performance. This vocoder is ITU-T G.722.2 compliant and has passed all ITU-T test vectors. The G.722.2 standard uses a wideband, adaptive multi-rate algorithm. Applications for this vocoder include video phones, audio/video conferencing, and media gateways.
Both the IP network and the 3G network use G.722.2 which provides seamless interoperability.
