PETA INDIA has found its Indian sensational propagandist in the form of Nargise Bagheri. ‘Garam Masala’ debutant actress Bagheri, opposite Akshay Kumar, bared all for PETA. In a photo-shoot, she bared all and rode the horse naked. This ethical campaign for animal rights is going far than normal to highlight the issue. In its latest campaign for drawing attention to the plight of draught horses PETA convinced Bagheri to strip and she did it with perfection.
'Garam Masa' actress covered her modesty with long hair for the campaign with the caption, “ Don’t Get Taken For a Ride, Horse- Drawn Carts are Cruel.” PETA in its release quoting Bagheri said, “ Horse Carts are cruel and outdated and should be relegated to the history books… in the city, the mix of horses and traffic can make for a lethal combination for horses and passengers.” In the PETA release images the actress rides the dark horse naked, much like lady Godiva, a wife of an earl under Danish King Canute, who according to legend, rode naked through the streets of Coventry. Nargise Bagheri, started her career in movie named ‘Garam Masala’ in 2005, opposite Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. After a long break, she appeared in a lead role in Hirdesh Kamble’s Pranali in 2008. In 2009 release, she was seen as Sharmila Tagore’s daughter Anjali, in ‘Morning Walk’. She started her film career in 2005 in the Akshay Kumar and John Abraham starrer Garam Masala (2005). The actress played the role of an airhostess in this film. Then she appeared in a lead role in Hirdesh Kamble's Pranali (2008) alongside stars like Upendra Limaye, Raman Trikha, and Sudha Chandran. In 2009, she was seen as Sharmila Tagore's daughter Anjali, in Morning Walk.
