Gay marriages legalised in Argentina
In a welcome change, Argentina government has legalised gay marriages bringing respect and dignity and to legitimise the relations among gays. Argentina became the first Latin American country to legalise gay marriages.
IN WHAT came as a welcome change in Argentina is that gay marriages are now being leaglised bringing respect and dignity and legitimacy to gay relationships.

Argentina became the first Latin American country to legalise gay marriages.

The law was backed by Centre-left government of President Cristina Kirchner. It was adopted in a 32-27 vote after 15 hours of debate.

“Argentine society has changed and the bill was aimed at guaranteeing the rights of minorities,” said opposition Radical senator Gerardo Morales.“It is a historic day,” said the ruling party leader Migrel Pichetto.
People cheered outside the Congress when the bill was passed and some even chanted ‘equality, equality’.
