World's one of the fastest men Tyson Gay won the Golden League Series' 100 meter event held on Friday (July 10). He clocked fastest time of the year in the 100 metre event by finishing the race in 9.77 seconds.
BY WINNING Golden League Series’ 100 meter event on Friday (July 10) being held in the Italian capital Rome, world’s one of the fastest men Tyson Gay hurled a challenge to another world class athlete Usain Bolt.
American Tyson Gay clocked fastest time of the year in the 100 meter event; he won the event by finishing the race in 9.77 seconds. During the event he defeated former world champion and record holder Asafa Powell of Jamaica. Jamaican Asafa Powell clocked 9.88 second and finished second while another Jamaican Yohan Blake clinched the third spot with the timing of 9.96 seconds.

Jamaican Usain Bolt currently holds the Olympic and world records for 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 meters- he set all these records at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. By winning these three events of athletics, he became only the second person in the history of athletics to do so in the single Olympics, after Carl Lewis of America who achieved the rare feet in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
The clash between the two titans of the athletics world is slated to take place in Berlin-Germany at the World Championship where American Tyson Gay will be defending his 100 meter, 200 meter and 4x100 meter titles. Sports experts world over are anxiously waiting for the big day speculating that the clash between the two will be an event to watch.
