Geeta Tandon's inspirational journey from a tortured wife to a Bollywood stuntwoman
Geeta Tandon, one of the very few stuntwomen in Bollywood has an impressive story to tell to all of us. The stunts that she does vary from driving a car through fire to jumping from heights.

She acts as a body-double for actresses to perform stunts. But that's not what makes her a hero. What makes her a real life hero is the courage she has shown in overcome her miseries.

Her mother died when she was 10-years old, and she was forced into a marriage at the age of 15. The marriage turned out to be an abusive relationship. Her husband hit her, sometimes with gas cylinders, tortured her and even sexually assaulted her. She says that she thought that having a child will change things, and the torture would stop.

But even after having two children, nothing changed. Being forced into a marriage with an abusive husband, homelessness, poverty, offers of shady jobs, she saw it all through, but she never gave up or gave in.

She made the most of what ever little life had to offer her. She might have been rejected by all, she might have had to sleep in gurduwaras, but today, she is one of the very few successful stuntwomen in Bollywood.

She has a message for everybody, that life comes with ups & downs and so many problems, but never ever think of suicide, as life is precious.

From being sexually assaulted to being hit by a gas cylinder, the abusive relationship, she says, was a sure way to death. While she screamed for help, and everybody around her listened, no one came forward to her rescue.

One day she decided to run away from her husband's house, along with her children. Her husband ran after her, with a sword. For knowing how she saved herself and her journey of becoming an inspiration for all, watch her video by produced by Culture Machine for Blush, a women's lifestyle channel.
