Geetika Sharma's mother commits suicide in the same room as Geetika

In a new and a shocking twist to the Geetika Sharma suicide case, the mother of the deceased, Anuradha Sharma, was also found dead yesterday evening in her Ashok Vihar residence. Sharma's mother, who reportedly was depressed after her 23-year-old daughter committed suicide. She hanged herself to death in the same room where earlier Geetika was found.

The case that raised much hue and cry against the former Haryana Minister Gopal Kanda and Aruna Chaddha grew more ominous after the mother's suicide. In her fifties, Anuradha Sharma was found by a relative, and a PCR van was rushed to their residence after they got a call to find the body hanging and a suicide note in the same room.

The note again implicated Kanda and Chaddha for Geetika's death. Anuradha's husband and Geetika's father, blamed the minister, reported Zee News. He said, “He killed my daughter and now he has taken the life of my wife as well.” Although a FIR was registered after the suicide of Anuradha Sharma but it is not apparent if fresh charges against the two accused would be enforced.

It is being alleged that Anuradha Sharma might have committed suicide due to pressures from Kanda's kin and political links to take back the case. What these pressures where and why did she took the extreme measure is yet to be known and even this fact is yet to be confirmed by the family.

The 23-year-old air hostess with MDLR committed suicide on 4 August last year at her Ashok Vihar, Delhi residence after she was allegedly harassed by MLA Kanda and former colleague Chadda. Initially, when the case broke he was on the run but after 13 days he surrendered, and presently he and Chaddha are both in jail. Geetika was termed as 'hypersensitive' and the extreme act on her part was that of a "confused and frustrated individual.

The Suicide of Geetika's Mother is shameful for the entire judicial and investigation system of our country where a common citizen of India like Geetika, her mother and several other crores of victims are suffering on day to day basis as We the common man of this country India are so much helpless that to say we are living in a democratic country where the Politicians, govt officer's govt departments, bureaucrats, big and powerful personalities nexus are enjoying the Lowpoles of the system. In the present case also it is shameless for the Investigating agency i.e. Delhi Police that there working style to solve the case or investigate the case in proper manner is not efficiently done why this happening in these types of cases where big and powerful peoples are involved ?
