Five-year-old Astro kid amazes people at Kumbh Mela
You might have heard about spy kids, wiz kids and wonder kids, but this year Kumbh Mela has become home to a different kind of kids, known as 'Astro kids'. They have become a major centre of attraction in the Mela, which is believed to be the largest congregation on earth.

Kids in the progress of learning are usually seen humming songs, reciting poems and indulging in mischievous activities, but same can’t be said about some children in Kumbh who seem to have learned the skill of astrology and horoscope. One such child is five-year-old Kriti, who has mastered the art of chanting vedic slokas.

The girl prefers to chant slokas and read horoscopes. Kriti is one among the many astro kids who are making their presence felt among luminaries of dharmashastra, who converge in the Kumbh Mela. The little girl, who is yet to lose her childish way of speaking, told the press confidently about various elements that constitute horoscope. While explaining what a truly peaceful life is, she was also seen speaking in clear pure Hindi.

The girl is being trained by a local organization, which specializes in astrology. Kriti has the technique of deciphering the zodiac sign of a person at the back of her hand. She can do so using details such as date of birth, time and place.

Talking to NNIS, Kriti's mother Gunjan Varshey says that Kriti has an astrological bend of mind as her father is also an astrologer. Even as a child of two years she used to be fascinated with zodiac signs and would easily identify all the signs without any problems, and looking at her aptitude, her parents decided to train her in the field of astrology.
