George Bailey to captain Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2014
After the announcement of Kevin Pietersen as captain of Delhi Daredevils, another IPL team, Kings XI Punjab has also announced George Bailey as their captain. Bailey is presently in Bangladesh for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The Australian is going to lead a team, which is said to compose of one of the strongest IPL squads this season.

David Miller, Virender Sehwag, Mitchell Johnson, Pujara, Glenn Maxwell, Shaun Marsh, Balaji are core players of Kings XI Punjab, who will play an important role in the upcoming season, which starts from 16th April.

With Bailey's experience of captaining the Australian side, it could play an important role in molding this Kings XI team, which has a number of international as well as domestic stars. It is their coach Sanjay Bangar, who played an important role in picking such a strong side, in the last IPL auctions.

Bailey seems to be excited about captaining the side. Bailey said, "I am extremely honoured and excited to lead Kings XI Punjab this season. I would like to thank the franchisee for having faith in me and entrusting me with this responsibility. I hope to live up to the expectations of the franchisee and its fans and I am looking forward to play with some of the finest cricketers within the team," reported, The Times of India.

With such quality players in the squad, Kings XI might clinch the 2014 IPL title for the first time in their history, if they play to their potential.
