There will be four main events as part of Delhi Half Marathon including the prestigious Delhi Half Marathon-21.097 km, Great Delhi Run 7 km, Senior Citizen Run 4.3 km and the wheel chair event 3.5 km. The registration for the event has already started, for further details interested people can apply online by going through the website of the Delhi Half Marathon.   

The winner of the main event 21.097 km will receive prize money of 25, 000 US$ which will be separate for both men and women event. In addition there will be a separate prize money for top ten Indians in the event both in men and women section. The top finishers in the India section will be awarded a hefty prize money of US$ 4000 in both men and women section.                  

The Delhi Half Marathon is very popular among Indians particularly Delhiites who participate in it with great deal of enthusiasm and gaiety. People from all walks of life like business men, traders, executives and sports take part in it to show their love for sports. I myself have participated in Delhi Half Marathon twice (2007, 2008), this year it will be my third Delhi Half Marathon on a trot.
