Get set go…
Boost your confidence, master your thoughts, pick up a pen, and start writing.
EVERYBODY IS A born writer and nobody is a dumb dog. People write millions of messages on the walls of their mind. But sometimes they just can’t find the ink and even if they do they are unable to find the pen. Do u have a problem with grammar? Well, thank you, good is it to hear that or it is good to hear that. Bad grammar can be a good style when the readers easily understand what they want to understand. And that is how you can be a good speaker. Try to forget rules for sometime, your incoherent thoughts will take new shapes and will come out of you as strings of music, wavy and psychedelic.

Unlike speaking or say public speaking, writing is much easier. You don’t have to lay stress on your vocal chords, put a nice expression on your face or reduce your pupils to scintillating balls that force the listeners down the alleys of your perceived reality. Writing is fun. Words are like crazy balls and they do bounce. Fix them up with glue and you will be surprised at the creation. If you are a skeptic just leave the idea; you will not be able to write. It is complicated. Finding proper words that best describe an event or expression, applying rules of grammar, cross-checking the denoted and connoted meanings, context, space and time when you are writing and from where you are writing, probable effects, your audience, channel, editing filters and gatekeepers. Forget it.

Communication is a highly complex organism and has a mind of its own. It recognises and understands people and delivers right messages to the right people. While doing its job it’s specific and selective. Sometimes the address is poorly written and communication just can’t reach its receiver.

The message is delicate like butter and weak as some earthly creature that is vulnerable to infections. Carry it too long and some part will just melt away. Its conception is more like weaving a dream; the subconscious mind nicely puts it down like a rich silk carpet with a lot of patterns and coloured threads. What you dream about, other people might as well. It is not a coincidence but one obvious probability. And when you weave a dream everybody likes to put a personal touch. So the rich carpet and coloured patterns would appear something else to other people, like fishes in a pool or say a flying elephant pulling a jumbo jet with its overhanging pointed tail and grizzly whiskers.

As a serious writer you will get a good spanking and will have to attend extra classes to avoid the ‘I’ factor. But then it doesn’t matter if you really have something to say and remember, that you won’t be the only one to decide that something. When you have a say make sure that you say what you want. No doubt critics will say it is unprofessional, they earn their bread by it. At the same time you may get an invitation from advocate journalists.

Professional writing is somewhat a challenging job. Why? First thing, your message is on sale and second thing your message is on sale. Any write up, which is on sale, has to be polished keeping in mind the taste of the readers. You start with a dream and conclude with a tale. In between you reveal a little of what you did last summer, your phony idealism, some twisted remarks, how you would rule if you were a king and what is the latest at Shoppers Stop that caught your attention. But, take it as a suggestion, never ever underrate whatever text or message a professional has written. Consider one such writer, a propagandist, who spent three years on extensive research to make sure that writing the word ‘probably’ in the middle of his article would serve it better.

Writing is good and we all should encourage it. So, fill the tank of your pen; Get, Set and Go.

Sir, The railway should provide TTEs in train with electronic ticket checking machines, which should be connected to a central server which maintains all PNR data waiting list information of passengers. Several passenger cancel their ticket just minutes before the trains departure, which the TTEs misuse. If the ticket machine is introduced the TTEs would get the status of the vacant seat immediately and can provide seats to passengers on waiting list in transparent manner. Otherwise, huge sum of money has to be paid as briber to the TTEs for confirmation of a waiting list ticket. The Railway can also save tonnes of paper, costing crores of rupees, can increase the efficiency and reduce the workload of TTEs by introducing the machines.

In the written statement from the national insurance company deputy manager Mr Achari said the car in which we were travelling innova on 10/01/2008 Bangalore mysore, high in which we lost our only son never toppled after hitting from behind on the right side corner on the back bumper. All the evedence shows the truth all the photos taken just after the accident,he miss guide the lower court in pretext to save the insurance money. This remind me the case of Nanda B.M.W delhi in which all the effort were done to supress the truth, and what happen an amazing verdict given,i salute the judge and the respactive court they never let the truth down. Its a correct saying that BHAGWAN KE GHAR MEIN DAER HAI ANDHAR NAHI.......

Indian universities are struggling to meet the bare minimum expectations one has from the system because fundings have dried up so completely that the faculty members have to pay for small things from their pockets. Libraries are starved of funds and grants for travel and research seem to be a distant dream. I do not understand how we are going to survive in a knowledge based global society? If more than a thousand million Indians have to move forward solutions must be found at the earliest. We cannot let our intellectual pool to dry up!

Communalism and Communal By pritis C majumdar In Indian politics, the words ??COMMUNALISM and COMMUNAL ?? are being used now and then to cow down opponent party, particularly during election of Assembly and Parliament. They interpret the word COMMUNAL as Riot between two religious groups, especially between Hindu and Muslim. To those political parties, the message of Communalism is to indulge in generating hatred between Hindu and Muslim and thereby causing loss of lives and properties of both Hindus and Muslims. But, the question is --- is it really so? Does the word ?? Communal ?? mean Riot between Hindu and Muslim? I am very eager to know what linguistic Pandits may say, but I can say that the word ?? Communal ?? or ?? Communalism ?? never indicates so, if we agree to accept the meaning of ?? Communal ?? or ?? Communalism ?? from the Dictionaries of the world. Let us see what Dictionaries say : 1. The CASSELL CONCISE DICTIONERY, published from Cassell, Wellington House, 125 Strand, London, 1997 edition, page 292, under the word ?? Commune ??, ?? Communal ?? means : a. i) for common use or benefit; shared. ii) Of or relating to a commune. iii) Of or relating to the Paris Commune. iv) Of or relating to the community. v) Between different communities. Communalism n. i) the theory of government by communes of towns and districts. ii) the theory or practice of living in communes. 2. COLLINS PAPER-BACK THESAURUS, published by Harper Collins Publishers, Glasgow U.K latest reprint 1997, page 109, says the meaning of ??Communal ?? : a. collective, communistic, community, general, joint, neighborhood, public, shared. 3. Bengali to English Dictionary by Samsad, Kolkata means Communal: Sectarian. It is thus undoubtedly clear that COMMUNAL or COMMUNALISM can never be interpreted as Riot between Hindu and Muslim. It means two different groups of people having different opinions on particular issue or principle or concept or religion or political belief etc. It may also mean the disputes between the two sections of people in respect of cast, race etc. In political party like Marxist in India, particularly in West Bengal - does not have the concept of Co-existence with the group of people having other than Mrxism or Mrxist and thus always fights to increase the number of Mrxists, even at the cost of life and property by intimidation and killings. Lenin, Stalin of Russia, Mao Tse Tung of China and others like Saddam Hussein of Iraq killed millions of people having the opinion or idealism other than Mrxism and also people against them. This may be called in real sense ?? TALIBANISM ?? or FUNDAMENTALISM ??. This concept or dogma can not tolerate other people of different idealism or different political views. That is why we observe number of killings daily ( as reported in news papers ) , with intimidation to life by the left parties in Government of West Bengal in different ways like Trade Union rivalry, Students Union rivalry, Panchayet in villages and districts. The process of reducing the number of supporters and members of other than left parties has been going on throughout the years by the cadres of left parties aiming ultimately to win the General Election of Assembly and Parliament. This is done involving all anti - social elements, murderers, smugglers, promoters, ill - motivated business persons and other self - interested people. The left political leaders thus confidently are wining all elections in West Bengal for the last five general elections. The civil servants are also following the same path from fear of various harassments in their service life by their Minister bosses and also party bosses from district to block level in addition to MPs and MLAs.. Now, the situation has come to a such critical point that High Courts? Orders are not implemented and openly the government agency defy the same. Is it a civilized democratic state? In a civilized democratic state no political party can win all five general elections with huge margin consecutively, unless they use their physical and mental coercion on voters and supporters of other parties. In West Bengal, initially, say about 26 /27 years ago MINIBUS was started with only sitting facility and thus higher fare was charged. This lasted maximum one or two years. After that silently sitting facility was lifted and minibus started to take crowds of people like ordinary bus . But, interestingly, the higher fare remains as it was till to-day. This had been going on cheating public by the left government crores of rupees daily for about last 30 years. Nobody can protest for fear from intimidation at gun-point by the party cadres and under the full support from Ministers and government also. A civilized and transparent government could make the minibus-fare equal to ordinary bus-fare; the moment facility for sitting was lifted. An order from government to convert all the minibus into full size ordinary bus could be implemented for the interest of millions of commuters of the state. This is also an example out of many Talibanisms or fundamentalisms in ruling the state. The banning one of the books of Taslima Nasreen by the West Bengal Government is nothing but an example of communalism / Talibanism / Fundamentalism If any person, leader, or political party or any Government of India follows the social concepts of about 82% people of India and respects the principle of co-existence with the remaining 12% + 6% other people of the country, can it be called COMMUNALISM ? If a traceable % of people of our country following an imported -ism (Marxism) which is totally not related to our Indianism and also our country?s development, calls them (followers of social concepts of 82% people) Communal, is it not a Hypocrisy of those Marxists or leftists? Time has come now for the people of our country and also MEDIA PEOPLE to think and rethink who are COMMUNALS and what is COMMUNALISM in the present political and social circumstances of India.

An unexpected advantage of commnication is while one explains one"s point of view, whether others understand it or otherwise one starts understanding one"s own views!!

Thanks Shoeb! Read about merinews.com in the newspaper today, visited it bit wasn't too sure of contributing. The dilemma is over now and I have keyed in 5 articles so far. Let's see what's the ed's take on them now. For my part, I have emptied myself for now and it feels real good and light. Had it not been for your piece, I would still have been contemplating whether to press the submit button or not!
