Get super stunning look this Raksha Bandhan with these beauty hacks!
Festivity is all about colorful dresses, beautiful glowing skin, happiness and everything way more special than regular days and Raksha Bandhan is no different. The story is a bit different for sisters whose brothers are staying apart or in other cities, as all they can do is, send a Rakhi with some goodies to their loving brothers. But sisters whose brothers are staying near or together, the day is very special.

Preparation for this very auspicious occasion starts even before a month and shopping. From beautiful Rakhis to new dresses, goodies, gifts and accessories, the list does not seems to end till the day finally arrives. However, the most important thing that sisters skip is taking care of their skin to look super fabulous on this special occasion.

But, don't worry girls, beauty and hair expert Shahnaz Husain is here to advice you on how to look stunning and bring that special glow on your face on this Raksha Bandhan. Just read on for more:

Watermelon juice, fruit mask and cooling mask: Watermelon juice works wonders as a skin toner, as it has a cooling effect, it refreshes and softens the skin. To get rid of dryness, apply it on your face and keep it for 20 minutes. After that, just wash it off with plain water and see the glow it brings on your skin.

You can also use a fruit mask, which are for all types of skin. Mix apple, papaya and orange together and apply on your skin. Keep it for almost the same amount of time and then wash it off. It effectively cleanses dead cells and eradicates tan. Apart from this, you can also mix cucumber juice with two teaspoons of powdered milk and one egg white into a paste. Apply on face and get the best output.

Face Mask for oily skin and tea bags for eyes: Prepare a paste of Multani Mitti and rose water and apply it on your face. Then, take two cotton pads soaked in rose water and keep it on your eyes. Lie down and just relax while you have the mask applied on face. After it dries, wash it off. You can also use tea bags for your eyes. Soak teabags in lukewarm water, squeeze out excess water and apply on the eyes like eye pads.

Soften your fizzy hair and make-up tips: Prepare a mixture of water and creamy hair conditioner. Put it in a spray bottle and spray it on your hair. Comb hair to spread the mixture through to get the best results. Usually, Raksha Bandhan is celebrated during the day, thus make-up has to be light and impeccably applied. For a person with clear skin, foundation is enough.

For eye make-up, stick to eye pencils. You can also line your eyelids with brown or gray eye shadow, to give them a softer impact. Moreover, one or two coats of mascara will help to make eyes look darker and brighter, besides preventing a made up look.

Lipstick preference and classy new hairstyles: Do avoid dark shades girls, such as dark maroon for lips. Light colors like pink, mauve, light brown, copper or bronze will look great, though they should not be too intense.

You can also use lip gloss for lips. Remember, outlined lips are out of fashion. Wear flowers in your hair to get an alluring look. With wavy, curly or bouncy hair, long hair is very much in trend. Opt for a softer look, with curls or natural waves.

Style according to your face shape: While you can opt for a low pony tail and light long fringe falling straight down for a long face, for an oval one, wear it with a side-swept fringe. For ladies having square jawed face and round face, ensure wisps of long curls falling down from both sides of the face or you can also put the hair up with the help of hair clips to get that balanced look.

So, ladies try these beauty hacks and surprise your kin with your stunning looks!
