Every child is special and should be treated so by parents, educators and society in general. A child that grows up with a healthy self-esteem is an asset to the society.

A CHILD is a bundle of potential to be unfolded, and each one holds a treasure to be discovered. The purpose of education is to bring forth the best and the deepest qualities in a child. Thus enabling her/his to become truly alive, joyful and contended person in life.

A garden has variety of flowers of different hues and fragrance. A rose cannot be a lily or a sunflower, a lotus. But when each of these grows and blooms, there is freshness, color, beauty, and vitality in that garden. Each contributes to make the garden so beautiful and attractive so that others will enjoy. So also human beings have to develop their unique gifts, talents and attributes to make the little corner of their world a better place.

Because the world is beautiful, we must contribute as much as we can to make it a wonderful place. So seize every opportunity that life has to offer you to grow and develop. Only take care not to choke the growth of others, while you succeed like a creeper that suppress the growth of other plants as they climb high. Take only the support of others while you try to reach the stars.

The role of parents and educators is to create a supportive environment fir discovering the child’s hidden gifts and potential which ultimately bring about the transformation of the society. Provide them with two lasting gifts the ‘root and the wings’ which will enable them to face the future boldly.

How true it is! God’s gift to parents is beautiful children and parent’s gift to god is to bring up the children the way god has destined them to be.
