Gionee to launch M2017 Android phone with 6GB of RAM and 7000 mAh battery on 26 December
The Chinese phone maker Gionee will be launching a 5.7-inch powerhouse smartphone with 6GB of RAM and a massive 7000 mAh battery next week on December 26. The phone is branded as Gionee M2017 and the company has already sent invitations for the launch event that will be held in China.
Based on the leaked photos of the upcoming Gionee flagship, the phone will be sporting a boxed design with a tiny curve on both edges of the display but not traditional round edges with a Quad HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display and feature a 12MP and 13MP dual-camera setup on the rear for recording videos at 4K resolution. The selfie camera is said to be an 8MP FHD autofocus camera.

The phablet that resembles the dead Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable memory. Gionee M2017 will run Amigo OS 3.2 skin based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

In the terms of connectivity, M2017 is said to come supporting two SIM cards, 4G LTE network, dual-band WiFI clocked at 2.4GHz and 5GHz and a fingerprint sensor found on the tiny Home button on the front.

However, the most interesting feature on this flagship is its battery, and Gionee has decided to add a lot of power on the phone. The rumors suggest that this Android smartphone will be powered by a battery with a massive capacity of 7000 mAh.

In addition, it will support Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology for a fast charging. However, Gionee is not unknown for making phones with large batteries, Marathon M4 is another Gionee phone running on a 5000 mAh battery.

The rest of Gionee M2017 features and supports will be unveiled on 26 of December when the phone will officially roll out.
