The ambitious project of the state government will kick start in collaboration with Delhi- Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) where several international architects will be roped in to make it a world- class project. The land for the eco- smart city will be given by the state government whereas the funding for the same will be provided by DMIC.
“The project will see an exhibition cum convention centre where some prominent architects will be involved to make it one of the best projects of Gurgaon. The area will be infused with updated technology, innovation and knowledge. The idea is to bring innovation and high value technology together”, said Y S Malik, Additional Chief Secretary (industries) as reported by TOI.
The SEZ was a joint venture between Reliance Ventures Ltd (RVL) and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC). The Haryana Government asked RVL to return the 1383 acres land in 1983 after the project got shelved. The SEZ was supposed to be the biggest SEZ of the country.
