World's leading car manufacturing company General Motors recently revealed its plans to launch two new cars in India by next year. Company officials told press that one car will be from mini car segment and other one would be premium sedan.

Giving out the details on new car launch, Slym added that out of two new models, one will be from the mini car segment and the other one would be premium sedan. These models are expected to be manufactured from GM’s Talegaon plant and Halo l facility.


While talking about Tavera Neo-2, P Balendran, director and vice-president (corporate affairs), GM India said, “The old Tavera had a good sales response and around 16,000 units were sold in Indian market alone. The Neo-2 was launched based on the feedback from the customers.”

“However, as of now there are no plans to discontinue the old version,” he added.


Company also received a very good response with its model Chevrolet Captiva from the sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment and has recorded a sale of around 6,000 units since its launch.


Presently the company is working on the compressed natural gas (CNG) version of Spark from the small car segment.
