Goa perfumer murder: Alleged killer sexually abused Monika Ghurde before strangling her to death
On Sunday, the Goa Police had arrested the alleged murderer of perfume stylist Monika Ghurde was. During the interrogation, the accused, Raj Kumar confessed that he had sexually abused Monika in her apartment after forcing her to watch porn clips.

An official from the Goa Police has confirmed the news of his arrest. During the investigation of the murder case, Monika's missing phone was tracked in an ATM, where the murderer was seen in the CCTV footage.

The police official said, "We tracked the number and found that it was active. The number took us to an ATM where CCTV footage confirmed it was a man using Ghurde's debit card," reported NDTV. 

The accused Raj Kumar was arrested from Bengaluru. Background check by the police revealed that he had lost his job as society's watchman where Monika was lived. He lost his job because of several complaints filed by the resident of the society including Monika. She had accused him of stealing her umbrella.

During the interrogation Raj Kumar reveled that, before the incident he took refuge on the terrace of the building where Monika was living. He then forced entered the flat on 5th October and tortured Monika throughout the night before strangling her to death.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Vimal Gupta said, "The accused was attracted towards Monika since the day she inquired about the availability of a flat in the complex and later followed her movements when she started residing there."

The investigation concluded that the accused held a grudge against the deceased as he lost his job a few months ago. He sexually abused her and then killed her to death.
