Gold-plated car attracts crowds at Vibrant Gujarat Summit
Apart from the chief minister Narendra Modi, there is one more thing attracting crowd towards the Vibrant Gujarat Investment Summit and that attraction is a gold plated car worth crores of rupees.
DECORATED BY the jewellers of the state while using gold, diamond and silver, the car will be auctioned on January 13. The proceeds will be donated to the Chief Minister's relief fund.
The base price of the car to be auctioned on the final day of the summit is kept at Rs three crores. The car has been designed by Mumbai-based sculptor Rajesh Bajaj and the plating has been done by a Rajkot company. The Gujarat Heera Bourse (GHB) and a Mumbai-based firm have funded the making of this car.
The jewellers of Rajkot had bought a white Chevrolet Yuva Sail car worth Rs 7 lakh and around 50 craftsmen worked day and night to complete it well before the summit started.
