It has been said that there are around 800 million Facebook users at present. Some of these users also have a registered account with Google+. One such user, Shrabani Mukherjee, who uses social networking sites say, “Google + is not user friendly, hence I prefer to use Facebook, which is comparatively soothing to the eyes”. At present, Google+ has around 25 million users or so. Though the number of registered users have been increasing every now and then, its longevity is in question, as people have started to use Facebook more than Google even after registering with Google +.
But Facebook seems to be more determined to outplay Google+, so they have been introducing various other new features so as to attract more people. After the introduction of Google+, Facebook has recently brought in a number of changes in its settings, such as privacy settings, so that their users would always remain loyal and always use Facebook as their favourite social networking sites.
Some of other features introduced are users having control over who can read one's post and who cannot. All these kinds of improvements have been brought about, all thanks to Google+, who is trying to give a tough fight to Facebook. But they are seriously lagging behind; rather they are allowing Facebook to take a big leap from its competitors.
Facebook has also introduced a subscribe button recently, where the user will have the freedom to choose what they want from the news feeds and also get all the required updates from those people too who are not your friends. Facebook has been undergoing lots of changes. A Computer Geek, Sanjeev Saini, who spends his leisure time in the internet, says, “All these new features are making Facebook more interesting, where we can keep track of so many things, just being in the home page”.
With the competition between Facebook and Google+, it is Facebook users who are getting quality features on their home page, which makes their favourite social networking site, Facebook look more attractive and informative too.
