Yet again the morning starts with a nice colourful doodle from Google. Mary Blair, who was honoured as a Disney Legend in 1991, would have been delighted to see that her ideas of creating characters have been taken forward by Google.
IN A man’s world of animation Mary Blair was the lady who proved herself through her creative drawings and memorable characters. At its infancy, animation was just starting to make way into the lives of the people and Mary Blair helped a lot with her Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Cinderella animations that became quite famous. On her centenary, Google has dedicated a beautiful doodle to the lady.

The Google Doodle shows a small girl with blond hair and blue dress writing something and red design in the background. Born on October 21, 1911, in McAlester, Oklahoma, Mary Blair (nee Robinson) is best known for her work at The Walt Disney Company. It was this lady who produced the art concept of Disney classics such as Song of the South, Alice in and Cinderella. She also illustrated a number of children's books.
Google's Doodles have started a wonderful tradition whereby all the great contributors are acknowledged and people know more about creators, innovators and creative people whose works always surround us but they are themselves not that well known. Thanks to Google doodle a lot of children get to know things from the area of their interest.
In the month of October, this is the second doodle that Google has put up. The company boasts of creating 900 doodles since 1998, with 270 of them running in 2010 and about 200 in 2011.
