Not many people know that almost all the fairy-tales were written by Grimm's brothers and Google is honouring their work on its 200th anniversary by a creative Doodle.
SPREAD OUT in 22 slides, Google has recreated the Red Riding Hood's story in a colourful doodle. Red Riding Hood, her grandmother and the wolf are animated in the doodle to tell the age-old story. Once again Google manages to wow its users with a Doodle that not only entertains, but also educates.
The Grimm's brothers - Jacob and Wilhelm - created various fairytales such as Snow White, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella and Rapunzel 200 years ago on this day in 1812. These German men wrote around 200 tales about mythical characters and enchanted princes and princess. Their works, originally written in German, were re-told in various languages.
We owe these brothers the wonderful stories of fantastical characters, who have made a reappearance in the films and television of modern times. The birthplace of these two authors, Germany is also celebrating their works. As was reported by timesofindia.com, the city of Kassel, close to the place where the duo were born, has begun celebrations, including events like light shows, theater shows as well as reading and operas.
