Google product manager Peter Birch wrote in one of his blogs “This is our fastest mobile version of Google Earth yet, with a smooth frame rate and a beautiful 800 x 480 screen” Besides being able to access all the favourite features of Google Earth, the Android users would have integrated voice recognition. The new Google Earth for Android also comes with added Road Layers and Road Name Labels, besides the useful features such as Local Businesses, Photos and Places.
This January, Google showcased the capabilities of Android in handling the power hungry Google Earth application, for the Nexus One Smartphone. Unfortunately, the Motorola Droid users need to wait a wee bit longer for Motorola to roll out its Droid update.
