Google honours father of information technology Alan Turning with a home page doodle
On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary Alan Mathison Turing, a computer genius, doodle has honored him with a doodle on its homepage.

TODAY, ALLAN Turing (1912-1954) is being recognized by naming of an award after him in Manchester for the noteworthy work by individuals and institutions that help victims of homophobia as a part of Homo Heroes Awards.

One may recall that despite being a great name in the knowledge area of computers and information technology (IT), Alan Turing was done to death by the state for being gay.

Recognized as the pioneer in IT and artificial intelligence, he committed suicide in 1954, since his homosexuality resulted in a criminal prosecution in 1952 considered un-natural and illegal in the United Kingdom then.

According to Wikipedia, Alan Mathison Turing was an outstanding British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst and computer scientist, who made noted contribution in development of computer science by providing a formalisation of the concepts of ‘algorithm’ and ‘computation’ with the Turing machine leading to the creation of the modern computer.
