GOOGLE INC. is planning to open a Chrome Browser's Web applications store later this year. The Internet search leader previewed the Chrome store on Wednesday during a San Francisco conference for computer programmers who create applications that run on the Web and mobile devices. Some applications will charge a fee while others will be given away. All of them will run in the Chrome browser.Google Inc. didn't specify a precise date for the store's opening. The launch of the store could be linked to the introduction later this year of lightweight laptops — or netbooks — that run on an operating system powered by Chrome.
Verizon is also working with Google on a tablet computer to compete with Apple Inc.'s i-Pad, which also has an apps store.Google is all geared up to give competition to many others who have various Web apps stores. The major advantage of using Chrome web apps store is that if users install a web app from this store, a shortcut will be automatically added and you can access as many applications as you wish to.Moreover, the users who are eagerly waiting to access these new Chrome web apps will be invited as soon as the apps store is launched. Google recently launched its wave and the good thing about it is that this application can be directly accessed through its homepage.Earlier, this wave demanded group access which has now been made individual, noticing the perplexity amongst the users.
