Google marks 160th birthday of famous psychologist Sigmund Freud with a Doodle
Today, on May 6, the internet search engine giant celebrates 160th birthday of famous psychologist Sigmund Freud, also known as the Father of Psychoanalysis, with a doodle on its home page.

Sigmund Freud (6 May 1856 – 23 September 1939) was an Austrian neurologist and the proponent of the theory of psychoanalysis who made the landmark contribution in the field of modern psychology.

The doodle depicts Freud's most celebrated the iceberg theory by incorporating the psychologist's face as a visual illustration of the theory which shows massive icebergs floating on an expanse of water.

The doodle is interpretative and needed to be watched carefully since Freud's head has been shown floating above the surface of the water while the major part of his body is shown submerged. Thus, the doodle shows that human mind can be divided into three parts, namely, the conscious, the preconscious and the unconscious.

The conscious mind, which is presently active, is like the tip of the iceberg while the unconscious is concealed biggest part of that conceals secrets to most of our behavior and instincts is needed to unfolded and developed. Thus, Freud's theory of psycho-analysis focuses on the unconscious mind that affects a person's nature and behaviors to a great extent.
