Google marks this year's Holi with an animated doodle
The internet search engine giant, Google is celebrating festival of colours, Holi today - with an animated search-doodle on its homepage. If you click on the doodle you will get directed to the search page providing information on the festival.

In today's animated doodle, the Google logo has been depicted in pale yellow colour. However, within seconds you see gusts and puffs of colour powder covering the logo in many hues.

This is the sixth doodle that Google has posted on its homepage on the occasion of Holi. The first Holi doodle was posted in 2001. It was followed by 2010, 2011, 2014 and 2015 prior to 2016.

Holi is celebrated for two days. Yesterday, March 23, it was celebrated with the event of Holika Dahan or Chhoti Holi where people gathered to worship, pray, sing and dance.

Today, Holi is being celebrated as 'Rangwali Holi' or 'Dhuleti', which is full of fun and frolic with people throwing colour on each another.
