Google Nexus 4 may dethrone Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3

It is not only the price range offered by Google Nexus that has got the whole world talking about it, but also the features, which are at par with iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3. 'With Google at its best', does it mean it would give a tough time to competitors?

COME NOVEMBER end, Google's Nexus 4 would be available in India as well. The smartphone has been receiving great reviews from experts all around the world. The 8GB variety of Nexus 4 comes at a cost of Rs. 23, 490 and 16 GB costs Rs 27, 490, which seems to be a decent price for the features that has been included in it.

The Borneo Post review read, “The fact that they’ve then given you a smartphone which has a specs sheet to rival the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 for under £300 should only reinforce the fact that this is Google at its best, taking the best hardware and then offering it at a price that will have you head-scratching for days.” and another well known tech news site, Cnet had this to say about it, “Google has completely re-written the rules on what to expect from an Android phone. The Nexus 4 offers not only astonishing power from its quad-core chip, but an excellent screen and exciting updates to the Android operating system. Most importantly, it comes with a price tag at least half that of its technical rivals.”

The smartphone market might take a big hit with Google coming up with such a low pricing, especially iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. But, both these phones have already entered into the market, so Nexus 4 has the potential to cut these competitors out of the market. Along with many other features, it is the bargain price of nexus 4, which people may be more attracted to. So, interesting times lie ahead for smartphone companies. Samsung Galaxy 3S (16 GB) costs Rs 34,900 on Flipkart, and Apple iPhone 5 (16 GB) costs Rs 61, 199 on naaptol.com, which are both expensive than Nexus.

If we compare these phones in the market for its features, Google looks impressive on many counts, as it has a 4.7 inch screen, iPhone 5 with 4 inches, Galaxy S3 with 4.8 inches. Along with this, Google Nexus comes with a wirelsess charging as well, found in other smartphones such as Galaxy S3. Whenever people buy such phones, they make sure that the camera is able to produce a qulaity image, so it is at this juncture where one notices that the iPhone 5 comprises of 1.2 megapixel and Nexus comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera. But, Samsung Galaxy S3 is way ahead with 1.9 mp. All these smartphones have the same rear sensor of 8mp.

The healthy competition between such rivals is not only going to help these companies, as they would try to outdo their opponents in terms of their quality product, but also benefit customers, as they can lay hands on better product.
